I’m still alive!

Hey!

Seeing as how I haven’t written anything in a while, I thought I let everybody know I’m still alive.  It is finals week right now at my university and it has certainly been stressful for the past month or so.  I’m sure that once summer comes around (3 days actually), I’ll have a lot more projects to talk about.

Thanks for stopping by!

New Developments!

Hello!

I figured that I’d give everybody an update seeing as how it has been recently been a slow year.

I’m moving the development of the LED Wall modules to a new package of the TLC5947 until I can get the stencil for its QFN 32 package.  So, in short, what that means is that I’ll be using a single-sided circuit board with Texas Instruments’ HTSSOP package. Same amount of pins, just different placement.  Even the thermal pad is the same size!

I’ll be back soon to give an update seeing as how I should be getting the circuit board milled before the week.

See ya later!

Imagine Cup Submission Is In!!

Alright!

As of 6:57 P.M. CDT last night, the Imagine Cup submission my team and I have been working on is in.  The videos are all completed and we are just awaiting judgement now.

It has been a rough past four months but I can say I learned a whoooole lot!  That was the main reason for doing this, seeing as how I don’t get any credit for this and is completely extracurricular, I realized there was a great opportunity to learn.  In the end, that’s what is most valuable.

There is a confusing factor about the deadline.  Before submission, the competition said its submission deadline was in three minutes, but after submission, the deadline changed to April 15th, 2013.  Strange, right?  I can also still submit an entry.  The only thing that changed is the status of the competition went from ‘Online Finals’ to ‘WW Online Finals’ .  This leads me to think that I can still work on the website and such.  I’ll have to e-mail them to be entirely sure though.

Anyway now I can finally relax for a bit and focus on my studies.
